LUXURY LAKEFRONT HOME WITH STUNNING LAKE VIEWS
Our spacious, 2600 sq ft, lakefront home has been in our family for decades. We have lovingly remodeled our home with new kitchen, baths, floor coverings and paint. There are unobstructed lake views from almost every room. Our home is ideal for families.
We have our own private dock with boat house, with two kayaks available for our guests.
You are welcome to bring your own paddle boards, kite boards or boat. There is a public launch area by Boice-Cope Park.
You can moor to our dock.

All beds in our home are new and very comfortable.
For our Less Mobile Guests
There are 3 steps to enter main level where you will find the kitchen, living room, master bedroom and two bathrooms, making it easy for those of advanced age or less mobile guests. If a disabled person can be brought up the 3 steps, the main floor works well for those requiring a walker or wheel chair. There are grab bars and a handheld shower option in the master bath.

Located on the lower level, just off the family room, this room is perfect for couples, families or your teens. This is the only room without it's own bathroom but the main bath makes up for it.

Family Room~ Office Space
Our Family room is a great retreat to sneak off and enjoy a game of pool or air hockey (this table flips with an air hockey table on the other side). Family room opens onto a lake view patio.
Desk with wall unit that works great for those Zoom conferences for those who are working from home. High speed WIFI allows for a working vacation (if you must) or an extended time at the Lake while you work remotely.
Kayaks
We have 2 Kayaks kept in a boat house near the dock. They can be launched from our dock. Life jackets are provided.

PET-FREE HOME
EXCEPTION
Only Service Animals as Defined by Title II and Title III of the ADA
A service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do
work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability,
including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental
disability.
These dogs go through rigorous training before being placed with an individual with a disability the dog has been trained for.
Other Support or Therapy Animals
are not considered Service Animals under the ADA
and require no specialized training.
Responsibility of the Handler
Dogs defined by Title II and Title III of the ADA must be:
* Kept under control by the handler, either leashed or trained with voice commands.
* Housebroken
* Current on vaccinations
Additionally, I require:
* Service Dog to be on a flea program to avoid flea infestation in my home
* You dispose of any dog waste in a closed container in the trash can at the end of the driveway.
SMOKING is not permitted in the house or on the property.
If you are a smoker, please smoke on the road and throw away your
cigarette butts in a sealed bag in our trash can .
THE LAKEHOUSE HISTORY
It's all about relationship
My father, Harold Larsson, was a college professor, astronomer and physicist. Just before my mother's death he began looking at places near my home in Bandon to purchase.
Dad walked into the Lakehouse and after 20 minutes he asked, "Who should I write the check to?" It was a decision he never regretted.
For the first 12 years he came for a month at a time. I established and managed it as a vacation rental so it would pay all expenses for him when he wasn't here. As his health declined due to degenerative spinal stenosis, he needed assistance with daily activities. We both moved up to the Lakehouse where I, and a couple of family members, cared for him for 7 years. He spent the reminder of his life here.
Not a day went by when he would say, "I am so lucky to live here."
"Hal of Floras Lake", as he would jokingly refer to himself, lived for almost 99 years. He did a lot of good for a lot of people and made a positive impact on most people he encountered. He lived a full life of Gratitude.
We hope that all of our guests love and enjoy our home as much as we do.
ABOUT US
I have managed our home as a vacation rental since 1999. At the time we were the only vacation rental home on the Lake. I took it off the rental market for 7 years while I cared for my dad at home. Our home has been well loved. In 2018 I completely remodeled our home with new kitchen, baths, floor coverings and outside deck.
Professionally I am a Family Consultant and Transitional Life Coach. My daughter Michaela and I have a business, Transitional Wisdom Inc. We share a vision for healthy aging and dying well. We have a perfect partnership, bringing our individual styles, talents and education to serve families.
Through coaching, family consulting, and emotional estate planning, we help our clients and their families come together to make unified decisions, have empowered conversations, and release any unresolved family issues so their loved one can age intentionally, maximize their independence, and complete their life peacefully.

This spacious, comfortable house was the perfect spot for our family get-together. We all enjoyed kayaking off the private dock and eating and playing games together in the open kitchen/dining area. Bedrooms on the third and first floor provided private refuge for those needing extra rest away from the activity. Beach access nearby was an extra bonus.

This house was great! Clean and bright. You can tell a lot of heart was put into the house. The ac units were only in the living room and basement, which is just something to be aware of. Luckily it cooled off enough at night to not need them. Other than that, the trip was AMAZING! If I’m back in the area I would rent It again. Kayaks were fun! House is close to beach. Bandon’s downtown is fun and Edgewater restaurant was delicious! Stay here!
Perfect Lake House and Ocean Coast Experience in One

Our family of six really enjoyed our stay (four kids ages 9-14, plus two adults). We stayed for several days. My husband used the WiFi to work during the days, while the kids and I went adventuring. My brother rented another place a few docks down and we would paddle between residences. We walked to the closest beach the first day (Boice-Cope Park). It was about a mile. We preferred to drive after that. :) We could have paddled to the beach as well, but it was pretty windy and the part of the lake closest to the beach had waves that were a little too big for the kayaks. (Our little cove was just fine for the kids to paddle.) The beach is pretty steep, but at low tide there are these cool mini-sandcliffs. My kids had fun sand-surfing down them. There are also larger sandstone cliffs if you continue walking down the beach. The house itself was perfect. Plenty of beds and space for everyone. The kitchen is newly updated and had all the pots and pans we needed for cooking. They even had crab crackers (we went crabbing in Port Orford one day). The bathrooms were also recently remodeled and very comfortable. This was my kids favorite family trip this year. Lots of skipping stones, paddling, and great memories! Would come again!

This home is so beautiful, you can tell the owner loves it. It's located right on the lake and you can view the lake from almost every window. Lots of space and nice updated touches throughout the home with nice wood paneling throughout. The neighborhood was very quiet and there is a lot to walk around and see.
